He was predeceased by: his son P. J. Carr; his grandson Matthew Wells; his parents, Benton Carr and Hazel Carr; and his siblings, Joann Tyler, Diane Long, Benton, Jr. and William Carr.
He is survived by: his children, Christy Clement (John), Brandon Kennedy (Chastity) and Rachel Whitaker (Chris); his grandchildren, Kalei Meade (Jon), J. W., Emmah Clement, J. P. Kennedy, Emma and Ryan Whitaker; and his siblings, Phillip Carr, Jimmy Carr, Etta Branning, Shirley Conniff, Betty Tyler, Linda Ferguson and Brenda Levings. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
