Lola Gertrude (Long) Newman Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lola Gertrude (Long) Newman of Whitesburg, Tennessee, who passed away on June 7, 2021 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin B. Long and Mary Eunav Long (Buchanan); her brothers, Jimmy N. Long and Charles B. Long; her sister-in-law Mary Belle Long; the father of her children Cecil Ray Newman; and her son-in-law Ronald Quinn.

She is survived by: her daughters, Ann Reese (Claris) of Talbott and Linda Lane (Billy) of Whitesburg; her grandsons, Michael Reese of Dallas, TX and Dr. Justin Quinn (Lauren) of Knoxville; her sister Lorene Hayes; her nephew Billy Hayes (Linda); and her niece Kim Nelson (Kevin).
