It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leta Kay Jones of Whitesburg, Tennessee, born in Cherryvale, Kansas, who passed away on August 19, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Carl E. Jones Sr.; her parents, Roy J. Yeubanks and Gladys Faye Yeubanks; her brothers, Dale Yeubanks and Jim Yeubanks; her son-in-law Bobby Booth; her son Timothy Jones; her grandchildren, Davin Schlund, Scott Schlund and Ashlea Harper; and her great grandchild Troy Harper.
She is survived by: her children, Alan Schlund, Carl Jones, Jr. (Beverly), Bo Jones (Julie), Elaina Schlund (Rick), Alecia Schlund, Tammy Booth (Joe) and Carla Jones (Nikki); and her siblings, Gary Yeubanks (Ruth) and Shirley Phillips (Benny). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Jones' family for final expenses.
