He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Johnson; his parents, Joseph Johnson and Rose Johnson; and his siblings, Albert and Yvette.

He is survived by: his children, Cindy Monk, Wendy Williams (Tommy), Shelly Shropshire (Ronnie) and Joey Johnson (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Crystal, Travis, Kelly (Chase), Chris, Tierra and Chelsey; his great grandchildren, Austin, Allison, Trace, Josiah and Taz; and his siblings, Nancy, Betty, Dinah, Rita, Leo, Doris, Robert and Jerry. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
