He was predeceased by: his parents, Voister Brooks and Daisy Caylor Brooks; his siblings, Doris Tipton (Jay), Marie Carr (Lewis), Ronald Brooks and Keith Brooks; and his siblings-in-law, Joan Brooks, Norma Jean Brooks, Barbara Brooks and Kenneth Sandefur.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Sandefur Brooks; his sons, David Wayne (Jackie) and Gary Donald Brooks; his grandchildren, Megan Brooks (Josh) and Scott Brooks; his great grandchildren, Hank, Eliza Jarnagin, Adilynn Marie Brooks and Stella Jane Brooks; his siblings, Phyllis Brooks of Oklahoma, Kenneth and Ray Brooks of Tazewell; his sisters-in-law, Alene Campbell of Tazewell, Alma Williams of Heiskell, TN and Maria Brooks of Texas; his brother Jimmy; and his sister-in-law Edna Sandefur of Biloxi, MS. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital fund.
