He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Thompson and Gem Thompson; his stepmother Emma Burton Thompson; his siblings, Virginia Jo Gammon and J. R. Thompson; his mother-in-law Grace McCravy; and his siblings-in-law, J. L. and Ann Haun.
He is survived by: his daughter Alice Ann Thompson Brooks (Glenn); his granddaughters, Casey Sivert (Brett) and Sammie Brooks (Chris Lipe); and his great grandchildren, Gema Brooks, Colten McLain, Rylee Sivert and Kaden Sivert. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shady Grove food ministry or Creech's Community Cemetery.
