He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa Johns and Martha Johns; his siblings, Gaston Johns, Wilkie Johns and Opal Lee; and his stepmother Mary Johns.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Johns; his daughters, Lisa Johns and Teresa Ferrell (Mark); his grandson Clinton Taylor Ferrelll; his great grandchildren, Chloe Ferrell and Skyla Ferrell; and his siblings, Duane Johns (Christine), Vernon Johns (Lois), Ellis Johns (Wanda), Henry Johns (Robin), Laura Lowe and Kathy Ramsey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
