She was predeceased by: her parents, William Earl Haltom and Zilpha Ruth Miller Haltom; her husband Bobby Murphrey Couts; and her brothers, Jon David Haltom and Samuel Tsukasa Haltom.
She is survived by: her sons, Joshua John Couts (Susie) and Rocco Daniel Dominic Couts (Dotou); her grandchildren, Danielle, Eden, Murphey, Jack, Anna Jane and Dominic; her sister Sarah Leialoha Hollifield (Ronald); and her sister-in-law Linda Haltom of Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering through Parkway Baptist Church.
