He was predeceased by: his wife Mary E. Hudlow; and his parents, Roland Hudlow and Rusada Hudlow. He is survived by: his children, James T. Hudlow and Teresa Robbins (Dennis); his grandchildren, Toni Crossley (Matt), Dixie Long (Ben), JT Shirley and Herschel Shirley (Courtney Liddy); his great grandchildren, Michael Fox, Hayden, Lila Crossley, Breanna, MaKayla, Benjamin, Alaya and Peyton Long; his adoptive parent Kheng M. Lim; his siblings, Sara Ponder (Herschel) and Don Hudlow (Tish); and also, Elizabeth, Nicholas Ea and Cambodian. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
