He is survived by: his mother Mabel Ramsey Gunter; his wife Fayetta Shelton Gunter; his children, Vanassa J. Gunter and Jody Bruce Gunter of White Pine; his granddaughters, Cassie Bowman (Paul Smith) of Morristown and Tory P. Gunter of Baneberry; his great grandchild Lukas Kade Smith; his sister Flora Hux of Parrottsville; and his siblings-in-law, Danny Shelton (Deborah) and Madge Williams (Billy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
