She was predeceased by: her parents, Aulden Ellison and Ella Ellison (Tucker); her husband Allen Lunsford; her son Leslie Lunsford; her grandson James A. Lunsford; her great grandchildren, Bryan T. Williams and Sofia Cruz Mendoza; and her brothers, Roger and J. B. Ellison.

She is survived by: her siblings, Jim Ellison (Nancy) of Wyoming, Venus Ellison (Linda) of South Carolina, Lester Ellison, Ronnie Ellison of Newport, Peggy Caldwell (Ellison) of South Carolina and Carolyn Ellison (Cookie) of Morristown; her grandchildren, William Coleman (Dorreen) of White Pine, Burnette Williams (Alisha) of Newport, Bryan Williams (Tina) of Montana, Eric Lunsford (Kimberly) of White Pine and Hope Cruz Mendoza (Mario) of White Pine; her great grandchildren, David, Taswell, Mason Coleman, Ricardo (Lily), Elizabeth, Oscar Cruz Mendoza, Abigail Williams and Oakley Williams; her great great grandchildren, Zane, Maddox Coleman, Treyson Coleman and Lyric Cruz Mendoza; and her daughters, Allie and Sharon. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, stepchildren and grandchildren.

Jonita Ellison Lunsford, 81 of White Pine went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 23, 2021 after a battle with Alzheimer's.
