He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald and Hannah; and his brother Roy. He is survived by: his wife Libby; his children, Anna Deering (Jason), Chris Cole (Yegi) and Jenny Adams (Johnny); his grandchildren, Addalee, Cole, Bo Adams, River, Ari, Sam, Jude Cole, Halle and Wren Deering; his sister Cindy Johnson; and his sister-in-law Kathy Combs (Steve). He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Seahorn's Chapel Cemetery (2118 Oak Grove Rd, Dandridge, TN 37725).
Joe being the simple man he was, the family has requested no flowers or gifts. In Lieu of Flowers, please donate in Joe's memory to First Baptist Church, White Pine, St Jude Children's Hospital or Lakeway Young Life.
