He was predeceased by: his stepdaughter Aileen Black; his parents, Frank Carmichael and Dovie Carmichael; his siblings, Ceil Carmichael (Nell), Bonnie Carmichael Franklin (Bob), Paul Carmichael, Joann Carmichael, Robbie Carmichael Heacker (Fred), Frank Jr. and Jack Carmichael (Bernice); and his granddaughter Patricia Ramsey.
He is survived by: his sister Barbara Carmichael Parks; his niece Carol Anne Williams; his grandson James Black; his great grandchildren, Steven Yates (Jessie), Jason Yates and Christopher Yates; and his great-niece Cassi Williams. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family members.
