He is survived by: his children, Steve Smelcer (Glenda), Mark Smelcer (Gayle) and Sharon Smelcer; his grandchildren, Dawn Gray (Chance), Amanda Seaton (Rustin), Dusty Smelcer and Jessica Owens (Sam); his great grandchildren, Isaiah Clark, Camryn, Colby Gray, Dustin, Emily, Lindsey Smelcer, Braxton Grindstaff, Sarah and Jacob Owens; his sisters-in-law, Doris Smelcer, Phebe Shropshire, Evelyn Reese and Ardith Reese; and his friend Frances Batson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
