He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Shaffer and Mae Shaffer; and his siblings, Betty Yates, Mack, Clint and George Shaffer.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Shaffer; his children, Teresa Arwood, Lisa Arwood (Bo) and Eric Shaffer (Janet); his grandchildren, Josh Arwood (Lisa), Stacy Dotson, Amy Arwood and Elizabeth Arwood; his great grandchildren, Chris Ellsmore, Bryce Thomas, Ashlyn Arwood, Draven Dotson, Nakesha Arwood, Brianna Barrios, Marcos Barrios, Kaylan Arwood and Lucas Arwood; and his close friends, Jerry Kirk, Gene Childress, Bob Hardy, Tim Rednour, Stan Coffey and Paris Bullington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, and other family members.
