He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Matthews and Martha Matthews; his brother Randy Matthews; his son Chris Culp; and his grandson Mason Roth.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Matthews; his children, Brian Matthews (Kasey) and Melissa Matthews (Todd); his grandchildren, Hunter, CJ, Briley, Brooklyn, Kelsey, Hayden, Jasmine and McKenzie; his great grandchild Finn; his sister Rhonda Peck (Mike); and his pets, Patrick and Sandy.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home (2707 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216).
