He was predeceased by: his parents, Curnie Leonard and Mamie Belle Callis Briggs, Sr.; and his daughter Cynthia Anne Atkins. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Briggs of White House, TN; his children, Anthony Mark Briggs (Karen) of White House, TN, Tim Briggs (Andrea) of Cottontown, TN and Melanie Jones (Bryan) of White House, TN; his brother Wayne Briggs (Linda) of Goodlettsville, TN; his sister-in-law Joan Briggs of Gallatin, TN; and his grandchildren, Kyle Ruffin (Andrea), Tyler Ruffin (John), Barry Hutchison (Shelby), Sarah Briggs, Hannah Jones, Matthew Jones, Taylor Briggs, Nathan Jones and Lily Briggs.
