She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Matthews and Willie Long Matthews; and her children, Tommy Smith, Hugh Smith and Arlene Jackson.

She is survived by: her children, Jim Smith (Brenda) of Lebanon, TN and Millie East of White House, TN. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
