She was predeceased by: her husband Charles "Tommy" Young; her parents, Evelyn Parker Gowin and Dan Sheridan Gowin; her siblings, James Capps Gowin, Sr. and Claudia Gowin Dixon; her sisters-in-law, Melinda Gowin and Susan Gowin; and her niece Jamie Bailey Gibbs.
She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Gail Young (Roger Demoss); her grandchildren, Zachary Marshall Cathey, Kaylynne Grace Cathey and Kamden Thomas Young; her brothers, Danny Gowin and William Gowin; and her sister-in-law Teresa Diane Gowin. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the West Harpeth Funeral Home (6962 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN 37209). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens (9090 TN-100, Nashville, TN 37221).
