He was predeceased by: his parent Lester Daniel; and his former wife Barbara Dawson. He is survived by: his parent Ruby Lee Taylor Dawson; his wife Carolyn Sue Napier Dawson of White Bluff; his son Scott Dawson of White Bluff; his stepchildren, Rodney Allen Shepherd (Nikki) and Kimberly Sue Karnes of White Bluff; and his siblings, Glen Dawson (Josie), Billy Dawson (Brenda), White Bluff and Betty Story (Joe). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
