He was predeceased by: his mother Katherine Crook Holmes; his grandparents, J. C. "Popcorn", Reba Holmes, Hurley and Viola Crook; the mother of his children Patricia Holmes; his sister Gayle Holmes; his nephew Jared Holmes; and his niece Mary Holmes.
He is survived by: his father Shep Holmes (Shirley); his children, Katrina Breedlove (John) and Shane Holmes (Victoria); his grandchildren, Hannah Stewart (Evan), Elly Breedlove and Hailey Holmes; and his siblings, Loretta Cline (Ricky), Jamie Holmes (Angie) and Terry Holmes (Shelley).
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Woodard Funeral Home (5591 US-31E, Westmoreland, TN 37186). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Rickie requested donations be made to Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Donations can be made at Woodard Funeral Home.
