James Overton Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Overton of Westmoreland, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 13, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Overton and Nellie Overton; his wife Carolyn Overton; his son Clyde Overton; his grandson Robert Overton; and his siblings, John Walter Overton, Elizabeth Moss, Lela Jay and Theta Campbell.
He is survived by: his children, Jamie Kirkham and Jimmy Overton (Teresa); his stepdaughter Lisa Schultz (Chuck); and his siblings, Martha Jo Bolton, Virginia Law and Rowenna Griffey. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Liberty Baptist Church (1047 S Water Ave, Gallatin, TN 37066). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
