It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hellen Louise Scruggs of Westmoreland, Tennessee, who passed away on February 2, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Hollis Ray Scruggs; her parents, Richard Hawkins and Eula Hawkins; her siblings, Douglas, Edwin, Gilliam Hawkins and Era Mae Lyles; her grandchildren, Kayla Kepley and Kelby Wix; and her great great grandchildren, Tillie Jo and Ensley Coleen Clark.
She is survived by: her children, Charlie Scruggs (Stacey), Shelia Wix (Kenneth), Richard Scruggs, David Scruggs (Pam), Anita Kepley (StacyGrandchildren), Donna Fuqua, Kenny Wix, Keith Wix (Lewanna), Melissa Gregory (Brett), Thomas Scruggs, Hollie Gunter (Mason), Kellie Agee (JamesBrother), Billy Joe Hawkins (DottieSisters), Betty Hawkins, Ann Hawkins and Mary Lee ScruggsFourteen. She is also survived by Fourteen Great-Grandchildren, Nine Great-Great Grandchildren, and Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Alexander Funeral Home (209 E Locust St, Lafayette, TN 37083). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Oakdale Cemetery.
