He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hall and Juanita Farris Lay; and his sister Helen Lay Haddock. He is survived by: his wife Linda Brewer Lay of Waynesboro, TN; his children, Victor Hall Lay (Bethany) of Spring Hill, TN, Scarlett Renee Bryant (Terry) of Waynesboro, TN and Verna Lynn Miller of Waynesboro, TN; his grandchildren, Clint Bryant (Jessica), Cody Bryant (Lilly), Lydia Lay, Lucas Lay (Traci), Tori Lay and Sarah Lynn Miller; his great grandchildren, Colt, Braxton, Emma Bryant, Axle and Michelle Bryant; and his brothers, Billy Wade Lay (Connie) of Collinwood, TN and Johnny Farris Lay (Dianna) of Collinwood, TN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be given to the Waynesboro Church of Christ benevolence fund or the Butterfly Foundation.
