He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lacher Pitts of Waynesboro, TN; his children, Johna Pitts of Richmond, VA, Martha Pitts of Murfreesboro, TN and John Ross Pitts II of Mt. Juliet, TN; his sister Sandy Pitts Martin of Waynesboro, TN; his mother-in-law Flora Evelyn Lacher of Waynesboro, TN; and his siblings-in-law, Joy Pitts of Savannah, TN and Richard Lacher (Carolyn) of Waynesboro, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Waynesboro First United Methodist Church-P.O. Box 464, Waynesboro, TN.
