She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucy Ellen Baird Alsup and Benton Clyde Alsup; her husband James "Jim" Phillips; her children, Lem Cutshaw, Jr., Charline Bradley and Lemuel Cutshaw; and her stepson Wesley Phillips.
She is survived by: her granddaughters, Kayla Stevens (Chris) of McEwen, TN and Emily Field (Corey) of Waverly, TN; her great grandchildren, Landon Stevens, Olivia Bishop, Elleigh Stevens, Patrick Field and Ameila Field; her stepchildren, Susan Glenn, Ward Phillips, Hugh Phillips and Sarah Durham; and her sisters, Nancy Bell Holder (Glenn) and Bertha C. Curtis (Joe). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home - Waverly (2400 TN-13, Waverly, TN 37185). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at the Richlawn Cemetery (2400 TN-13, Waverly, TN 37185).
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in a charity of your choice in honor of Mrs. Marie's life.
