It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret McKeel Tate formerly of Waverly, Tennessee, who passed away on January 2, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Judge Walter Lunn and Roberta Thomas McKeel; and her sister Bobbie McKeel Collier. She is survived by: her husband George Edward Tate; her children, John Griff Lucas (Sherry) and Caroline Tate McNeilly (Rob); her grandchildren, Griff Lucas (Katy), Ross Lucas (Natalie), Margaret Thompson (John), Tate McNeilly (Carolyn) and Robert McNeilly (Emily); and her great grandchildren, Frank, Teddy Lucas of Kate, H. R., McKeel Lucas, Jack, Neilly, Frances Margaret and Mary Caroline Thompson.
Due to COVID restrictions a private family graveside service will be held in Waverly, Tennessee with a memorial service and celebration of life to follow at a later date.
