He is survived by: his wife Mildred Jo Wilson Trotter of Waverly, TN; his children, Lester Eugene Trotter Jr. of Waverly, TN, Gena Lynn Messersmith of Waverly, TN and Tracy Jo Etheridge (Chris) of Waverly, TN.; his grandchildren, Gina Lee Capolino (Gary), Mary Margaret Messersmith, Tyler Reed Milliken, Lester Eugene Trotter III, Kaden Travis Trotter and Matthew Brian Trotter; his great grandchild Maxwell Gene Capolino; his nephew Randy Smith (Sheila) of Chattanooga, TN; and his niece Jennifer McDonald (Dwain) of Gallatin, TN.
One of Coach Trotter's proudest accomplishments was being inducted into the TSSAA Hall of Fame—a well-deserved recognition of his contributions to the world of sports and education.
