It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Fay Hicks of Waverly, Tennessee, who passed away on November 11, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Helen Fay departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Helen Fay. Though Helen Fay may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lela Bohanan Hicks and James Hicks, Jr.; her siblings, Bud Hicks, Bonnie McKlemurry and Ruth Swearns; and her nephew Scott Gordon.
She is survived by: her sister Peggy Gordon. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home - Waverly (2400 TN-13, Waverly, TN 37185). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM at the Simpson Cemetery.
