He was predeceased by: his father Roy Brooks. He is survived by: his mother Doris Naramore (James); his wife Debbie Carter Sherrod Brooks of Waverly, TN; his sons, Gary Brooks of Waverly, Sean Brooks of Waverly and Brody Sherrod (Heather) of Mt. Pleasant, TN; his grandchildren, Allanna Brooks (Maddi), Kaylie Brooks (Kaden Hamm), Joanna Brooks, Dominic Brooks, Kyrah Brooks, Ashtynne Brooks, Devin Brooks (Jacie), Aiden Brooks, Grace Brooks, Giulianna Sherrod, Amelia Sherrod, Gracie Estep and Eleanor Houston; his great grandchildren, Kingston and Sawyer Brooks; his sisters, Cathey Pickler and Sandy Henry; his sister-in-law Connie Brown (Jim); and his pet Sassie Ann. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
