He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Cook and Corean Lark Cook; his son David Cook; and his brothers, Earnest Cook, Jr., George Willie Cook, Freddie Cook and James Cook (Johnnie Mae) of Pickens, MS.
He is survived by: his wife Kelly Thompson Cook of Waverly, TN; his children, Danny Cook (Miranda) of Pickens, MS, Dennis Cook (Chanel) of Waterloo, IA, Douglas Cook (Cara) of Stockbridge, GA, Darrin Cook of Pickens, MS, Patty Jones of Pickens, MS and Pamela Cook of Canton, MS; his stepchildren, Gilbert Rice of Waverly, TN and Tiffany Cusic of Waverly, TN; his brother Jerry B. Cook of Duluth, GA; his great grandchild Numerous; his parents-in-law, Joe and Dorothy Thompson of Rockford, IL; his siblings-in-law, Chris Thompson (Lori) of Waverly, TN, Terry Thompson (Anita) of Rockford, IL and Tiffany Nowlin (Patrick) of McEwen, TN; his grandson Brayden Roberts; and his close friends, Steve Turner (Melissa), Robert Turner Tony Kelly (Camille) and Anthony Grundy (Anita). He is also survived by Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives.
Cook's wishes were for cremation following the service. **Due to the pandemic, the family has asked that masks be mandatory for all who wish to attend, no exceptions.
