He was predeceased by: his parents, Rueben "Boots" Nichols and Otellia Miller Nichols; and his siblings, Leo Nichols, Donley Nichols, Billy Nichols, Ralph Nichols and Inease Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Simpson Nichols of Waverly, TN; his sons, Allen Nichols, Jr. (Laura) of Jackson, TN, Mark A. Nichols (Kathy) of Waverly, TN, Wade Nichols of St. Lucia and Tracy Nichols of Waverly, TN.; his brother H. D. "Pete" Nichols of Donaldson, TN.; his grandchildren, Chris (Caitlin), Samantha, Amanda (Joe), Bubba, Kris (Kristin), Tiffany, Justin, Brianna and Sarah17; and his pet Dolly Parton. He is also survived by 17 Great Grandchildren, Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Humphreys County Funeral Home (217 E Main St, Waverly, TN 37185). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
His contributions to local governance and community leadership have left an indelible mark on the lives of many.
