He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Cook and Hazel Barrett Cook; and his siblings, Dorothy George, Carl Cook (Puggy), Ronnie Cook and Pam Young.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Cook of Watertown; his children, Greg Cook (Jody) of Watertown, Tanya Mullinax (Terry) and Thomas Cook (Lea) of Murfreesboro; his grandchildren, Allison Argo, Amy Cook, Eli and Evan Cook; his sister Lisa Rhody of Smithville; his pets, Shields Reeder, David Thompson, Clark Lance and Ray Dunham, Jr.; and his caregivers, Susie, Christy and Heather. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the DeKalb Funeral Chapel (863 S Congress Blvd, Smithville, TN 37166). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Salem Cemetery.
The family ask donations be made to Upper Helton Baptist Church or to Lighthouse Christian Camp in memory of Mr. Joe.
