She was predeceased by: her former husband Roy Forbes; and her sisters, Anna Mickey (Shipley), Peggy Guinn and Connie Hulse. She is survived by: her husband Carroll Thomas "C. T." Lawson; her children, Rose Forbes of Watauga, Donald Austin (Rebecca) of Watauga and Tammy Williams (Anthony) of Watauga; her siblings, Mary Ellen Newton, Joe Hulse and Donnie Hulse (Nancy); and her grandson Eric Sifford. She is also survived by forty-two grandchildren and great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.
