She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Jackson and Rosetta Jackson; her husband Virgil Thomas; her son Robert Thomas; and her siblings, Margaret Hairston, Mary Katherine "Jane" Brown, Rachel Johnson, Robert "Pete" Williams, Edward Jackson, Jr., Bill Jackson and James "Bo" Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Dorothy Hill (Ronald), Christine Anderson (Danny), Georgia Ward (Michael), Shirley Salmons (Ora) and David Jackson (Shelby). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
