Earline Cross Proffitt Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Earline Cross Proffitt of Watauga, Tennessee, who passed away on September 15, 2020 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Earline Cross Proffitt to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Cross and Etta Cordelia Miller Cross; her husband Jimmy Lee Proffitt; and her siblings, Lola Belle Reedy, Ina Curtis, Mary Craig, E. W. Cross, J. B. Cross, Nathan Cross, Joseph M. Cross and Phillip Cross.
She is survived by: her children, Darlene Cunningham (Richard) of Watauga and Staley Proffitt (Tammy) of Watauga; her brother Preston Cross of Bluff City; and her pet Peanut. She is also survived by five grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Carter County is mandating that all citizens who live in or visit wear masks or facial coverings in public all visitors to the funeral home for services and/ or the graveside service are required to adhere to this mandate. Also, social distancing recommendations must be observed.
In Lieu of Flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Lupus Foundation of America in honor of Earline.
