He was predeceased by: his parents, W. C. Atkins (Bill) and Jessie Atkins (Collins); his siblings, Evelyn Collins, Dorothy Rose, Helen Dalton, Donald, W. C. Junior, Doug, Carson and Morris Atkins; and his stepson Duane Dawson.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Atkins (Dawson); his son Roger Atkins (Donna); his grandson Kevin Atkins; his great grandchildren, Kolby (Kaylen), Kiley and Jorja; his stepdaughter-in-law Tammy Dawson; his stepgrandchildren, Jeremy Dawson (Angie), Nathan Dawson, Kristy Dawson, Tyler Jackson and Brianna Jackson; his siblings, Betty Sewell, Denver, Jerry (Ricky Sue) and Michael Atkins (Trish); and his sister-in-law Esther Atkins. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
