Cookson and Amy Lee Phelan Cookson; his siblings, Rachel Pugh (Jesse) of Wartrace and Philip Cookson (Briana); his grandmothers, Joyce Frost Cookson and Patricia King Phelan of Tullahoma; and his nieces and nephews, Lyla, Joy Pugh, Aurora Cookson, Brylen Pugh, Wyatt and Jamison Cookson.
