He is survived by: his children, Jonathan Sims (Noël) and Joanna Swanson (Adam) of Wartrace, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Clarissa, Ethan, Carinn, Isabella Sims, Logan, Chloe Maltese, Abigail and Autumn Swanson; and his niece Stacey Griffin.
