She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Lee Phillips, Sr.; her son Jimmy Rippy; her stepdaughter Ruthie Thomas; her siblings, Bessie Phillips, Alberta Cooper, Joella Jones, Lovie Odell Rippy, James Herbert Rippy, Jr., Coley Rippy, Kenneth Eugene Rippy, Sr., Roy Rippy and Aurther L. Rippy; and her grandson Cory Phillips.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Phillips Greer of Wartrace, Walter Phillips, Jr. of Wartrace, Danny Ray Phillips of Wartrace and Willie James Phillips of Wartrace; and her siblings, Lucy Edwards, Janie Rippy, Willie L. Rippy, Mack Rippy and Jessie P. Rippy, Sr.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
