She was predeceased by: her husband Maynard Hamby; and her parents, Charlie Newberry and Mary Newberry. She is survived by: her children, Ronald Hamby (Mary Ruth), Rita "Jannie" Morgan (John), Anita Hamby and Mona Hamby; her grandson Rodney Hamby (Tammie); her great grandchild Zachery; her grandsons, Ricky Hamby, Randy Hamby and Daniel Morgan (Robin); her daughters, Mara and Kara; and her siblings, Jack Newberry (Louise) and Sue Goodson.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, or KARM.
