It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lee Norman of Wartburg, Tennessee, born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on March 5, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee W. Norman Sr. and Pearl Rose Phillips Norman; his wife Velma Lucille Nelson Norman of Humble, TX; his son Michael Lynn Barnette of Humble; and his sister Betty Partridge of Matagorda, Texas..
He is survived by: his sons, Lee Wingard Norman III of Wartburg and Gary Barnette (Judy Barnette) of Lancing; and his grandchildren, Kathy (Emiliano Cavazos), Tammy (Jimmy Lee Giles), Roy (Heather Barnette), Keith (Carolynn Barnette) and Shelley Kennedy of Wartburg. He is also survived by Eleven great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and very special family friends.
Due to Covid-19 limits and restrictions in place, the family will be having a private Military Service at the Knoxville National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorials in his name be made to The American Legion Post 149, 202 South Kingston Street, Wartburg, TN 37887.
