He was predeceased by: his parents, Lizzie Murphy and William Murphy; his sisters, Shirley Moore and Helen Miller; his wife Henrietta Murphy; and his father-in-law Henry Moore.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ginger Davis (Buddy) and Amy Clark (Jack); his grandchildren, Ashley Armes (Aaron), Ryan Hamby (Sierra), Lindsey VanNorstran (Zach), Aaron Hamby, Bryson Bowling and Mary Grace Bowling; his great grandchildren, Addison, Aiden Armes, Neyland, Leland Hamby and Willow VanNorstran; his mother-in-law Georgia Moore; his siblings, Mildred Walker and Leonard Murphy (Tressa); and his siblings-in-law, Phillip Miller, Susan Powell (Earl) and Robin Summers (Chuck). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
