Janie Garner Martin Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janie Garner Martin of Walland, Tennessee, who passed away on January 12, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Amos Chester Martin; her children, Robert "Bob" Martin and Anjunita Martin; her parents, Robert "Pop" F. Garner and Rebecca "Mom Becky" Garner; and her siblings, Willie McCaulley (Johnny), Vertie White (Harry), Tootsie Tipton (Wayne), Raymond Garner (Grace), J. R. Garner (Bernice) and Tommy Garner.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Martin (Karen) and Connie Waters (Dwight); her grandchildren, Josh Waters and Alicia Binkley (Drew); her stepgrandson Jeremy Dills; her sister Bootsie Potter (Max); her sister-in-law Patsy Garner; her niece Becky Williams; and her nephew Jerry Garner. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews and friends.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hillcrest Baptist Church Cemetery (3504 Laws Chapel Rd, Maryville, TN 37803).
