He was predeceased by: his wife Dellavee Proctor Adams. He is survived by: his daughter LeaAnn; his grandson Matthew Lewelling; his brothers, Edward Adams and Rex Adams; and his siblings-in-law, Charlotte Sneed and Shirley Proctor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
