She was predeceased by: her husband John Perry Skaggs; her son Ricky Carey; her parents, Willie Carey and Dora Chastain Carey; and her siblings, Helen Hunt, Imogene Murphy, Elmer Carey, Howard Carey and Hoyt Carey.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Kayla Carey; her great grandchild Sawyer Bookout; and her niece Destiny McMahan.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Vonore Baptist Cemetery.
