She was predeceased by: her husband Colonel Leonard Peterson; her parents, Ben Ray and Nora Evalyn Ray; and her siblings, Frank, Jack Ray, Betty Abrahamzon (Henry) and Nancy Kennedy (Nomon).

She is survived by: her son Dr. Russell Peterson (Laura); her brothers, Jim Ray (Rachel) and Ben Ray (Kathy); her sister-in-law Carol Ray; and her grandson Jayden Peterson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
