He was predeceased by: his wife Diane Ramsey; his parents, John H. Ramsey and Willie Arlene Ramsey; and his brothers, Carl and Dan Ramsey.

He is survived by: his sons, Dwight (Regina Ramsey) and Dwayne (Charity Ramsey); his grandchildren, Cade, Paige and Dalton Ramsey; and his brothers, W. H. (Brenda Ramsey), Quinton Ramsey and Coy Ramsey.
