He was predeceased by: his father Charles Ray Ogle; his grandparents, Charlie, Lillie Ogle, Winfred and Icie Giles; his son-in-law Don Norwood; his father-in-law Gayle Thomas; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Thomas, Berry Thomas and Harold Wayne Morgan.

He is survived by: his wife Cindy Thomas Ogle; his daughters, Daphne (Matthew Stratton) and Samantha Norwood; his grandchildren, Nathaniel "Bo" Dean (Emily Saffles), Shia Stratton, Ayden Stratton, Gabriel Norwood, Jaden Norwood and Chelsie Gifford; his great grandchildren, Matthew Alan Dean, Carson Gifford and Paisley Gifford; his mother Mary Catherine Knapp; his sisters, Robin (Robert Chelette) and Sharon Morgan; and his cousin Dewayne Giles.

The family requests no flowers to be sent.

“We saw your vehicle parked at the rest stop just outside of Chattanooga today and saw the memorial sticker in your husband's honor. Having lost a dear loved one myself, I know the deep disappointment that there are people in this world who will never get to be blessed by knowing them. So I feel a sense of obligation to their memory to at least read what I can of them, and to reach out to their family to say their loved one is still touching lives. Condolences. Greg was obviously well-loved.”
