He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbara Jean McFall (Brown) and Troy Jewell McFall (T. J.); and his brothers, Troy and Terry McFall. He is survived by: his wife Joan (Gray); his children, Ashley Teefeteller (Jody) and Tyler (Shelby); his grandchildren, Rylan Teefeteller and Lani Teefeteller; his brother Ricky (Vickie); his sister-in-law Sharon McFall; his sister Janie; his brother-in-law Dave Evans; his nephew Andy McFall (Allie); his nieces, Angie Baumgardner (Robbie), Gina Jenkins (Scott) and Erin Mills (Michael); his close friend Johnny Brooks (J. B.); and his cousin Jill Turpin (Clint).

Even in death David continues to give as several individuals will benefit from his organ donation.
